Meditation is a simple, yet powerful practice that anyone can do. It was discovered thousands of years ago and has been used as a tool to relieve stress, calm the mind, and find inner peace ever since.
Pre-teens and teens often find themselves caught up in the busy day-to-day activities and pressures of school and family. When we lose our focus and feel disconnected from our inner self, we can often turn to the world of technology and media to fill the void. That’s why it’s important to create a meaningful balance at home and school. Therefore, I’ve created a list of 10 meditations that give teens and their teachers many tools for body and mind.
Yoga photography is essentially an art that depicts art. These talented and passionate photographers create images of yogis and asanas that pay homage to practice, nature and the human form, each in their own way, and all beautiful in their own way.

International photographer Elad Itzkin captures images that are both powerful and playful. He loves the supportive spirit in the yoga photography community, and we can tell by his beautiful work that it would be a lot of fun to participate in a photo shoot with him!
3. Derek Papusha Goodwin

Derek Papusha Goodwin is a New York-based yoga photographer who also photographs weddings and rescued farm animals. We love his research into yoga events and festivals where he really brings a sense of community and a dynamic atmosphere.

Tony Felgeiras makes excellent use of space and symmetry to create incredible recordings. He perfectly captures the individuality of each yogi in his yoga portraits that truly showcase the beauty of the human form.

World-renowned photographer Robert Sturman has captured a variety of yogis in different places and wants to remind us with his incredible images that beauty is everywhere. Robert is a true master of his craft. His photographs are true works of art.

Often used for commercial purposes, Jasper’s classic photographs are professional, elegant and purposeful. Her study The Body as Temple, dedicated to naked yogis, is elegant, moving and beautiful – a must-see!

Jim Campbell says he has a passion for capturing the beauty that shines through when people are in their yoga, which shows up beautifully in his photographs. Spectacular backgrounds often frame his yogi.
8. Richard Pilnick

Richard’s black and white photographs of yogis practicing their art are honest, vibrant and intense. He is currently raising money for Ashtanga studies through large-scale photography to pay tribute to this practice.

Gaby photographs studios and asanas that reflect the individuality, community and happiness associated with yoga. His black and white sketches are particularly poignant. Gabi lives in Sydney, Australia, and her beautiful photographs of people and families are also remarkable.

Joe’s outdoor yoga footage is great, but it’s his urban asana shots that are particularly captivating.
