Attention Muggles: Harry Potter Yoga is Finally Here |

There are few things in life people can completely trust, but the Harry Potter series? While it may not be entirely true that “It’s magic”, the Harry Potter Yoga series may just be similar enough to leave you feeling like the wizarding world has just come to life.

As we approach the end of the summer holidays, the mind often wanders to the next school year, to school being the place where you’ll find friends, the place you go to escape, and the place where you do none of those things. Having left school and graduated with a degree that’s far from being the best, I’ve certainly had some of my own moments where I thought, ‘Why am I doing this?’ and, ‘What have I actually got to show for it?’

Ready for a new Harry Potter workout? The stars have aligned and now the Yoga for Harry Potter app is available to download, and it’s the perfect tool for aspiring yogis and hardcore fans alike.

If you’re a Potter fan and you’re still not convinced to try yoga, even though your friends keep telling you how great it is, then this great news might be a reason for you to sign up: There are now Harry Potter themed yoga classes in Texas!

The 30th. Last October, Circle Brewing Company in Austin dropped its weekly beer yoga class to host its first-ever Harry Potter Deathly Hallows yoga class in honor of Halloween and Valentine’s Day. The brewery has been transformed into the Pig’s Head Inn, complete with an adorable mini alder garden, a potions department and even a sorting hat!

But was there really yoga?

YES! Yoga instructor Isabel Beltran led a 60-minute vinyasa flow yoga asana class (including meditation) inspired by and filled with many Potterverse elements.

The Tree Pose became Whomping Willow, they did Upward Salute with raised wands, the Cat Cow Pose to show that Professor McGonagall is an Animagus who can turn into a cat, and Warrior II became Reverse Wizard. Warrior II might be the perfect pose for Expelliarmus, but Beltran asked the students in the class to come up with their best memory of Expecto Patronum.

During savasana, Beltran read aloud the story of the three brothers and, as Sally Tamarkin writes, she ended the lesson by reading and meditating on Dumbledore’s speech to Harry at the end of Deathly Hallows, which she also read aloud: Don’t feel sorry for the dead, Harry. Have mercy on the living, and especially on those who live without love.

This class seems to be a dream come true for lovers of yoga for GPs, and it has been getting a lot of attention all over the world, so much so that Ginny Weasley and Luna Lovegood have found out about it, and yes – they have totally agreed to try this class!

Beltran explained to Buzzfeed that it was a gentle lesson to make sure it was suitable for all levels of wizards.

Are you ready to give it a try? The good news is that for the 20th and 27th. New Harry Potter yoga classes are planned for November. The bad news is that both are already sold out. This course is very popular, so we encourage you to keep an eye on your calendar for upcoming courses.

I’ve read all the books and watched the movies, even though I’m 40 years old and too old to be going to wizard school, now that Harry is 13 and he is a grown-up. I’ve even gone to the museums in New York City and London where they have props from the sets. I’m a true fan.. Read more about cosmic kids yoga jaime and let us know what you think.
